The Alpha program had a five year history at Langley Immanuel church. The program is currently Takinf time off as interest has evaporated in the program. There is still a hope that after a few years, the program can start again and bring new families into the church.

The program has been a popular one among churches in the area. It focuses on providing a dinner setting combined with basic instruction in the Christian faith using the "Alpha Ministries" programs.
